I have been riding my bike everywhere since primary school and will always take it over a car whenever I can. As one of the founders of CycleHosts I am passionate about creating friendly and inclusive ride experiences which will show you new roads and have you feeling challenged and rewarded for your efforts (and we must eat cake!)

My passion is riding. I ride over 20000ks each year and have for the past 10 years and just enjoy riding my bike and having a chat to people. I operate a small cycling business in Melbourne, Foster's Cycling Tours. I conduct tours on the Mornington Peninsula, Falls Creek, Noosa & Adelaide. The Peninsula rides include road & gravel. Gravel rides are 45k to 75k around Red Hill/Flinders. I would love to contribute to CycleHosts as a host. The experience I have on a bike as guide in these areas is vast. I have been running my own Cycling Tour business as well as taking friends and people from interstate on tours all over Victoria, Adelaide, Queensland

I started CycleHosts to allow people to connect with places, cultures and other people. I grew up in Melbourne, Australia and have traveled across the World experiencing amazing moments. My passion for CycleHosts is driven by a fear of not living fully. I don't want to look back and have regrets about the opportunities I didn't take. I have that fear for you too. Life is short. I want to spend my time helping you live. Let's go experience each moment we have....

I live and ride on the fabulous Gold Coast the jewel in the Queensland crown. My names Sean and I get to ride in one of the best cycling destinations in Australia. Having lived on the Coast for 30 plus years I have ridden, and know, most of the local bunch rides. Riding in areas such as the cane fields of Jacobs Well and down to the Qld-NSW boarder to Point Danger, Coolangatta and up to Springbrook to Best of all Lookout and Binna Burra, it really is a great place to ride. I like to collect and race my bikes, I have a small collection of bikes from vintage steel Colnago’s to sate of the art carbon fibre race weapons all of which are ridden and raced on a regular basis. I worked for the regional newspaper for 27 years, and more recently the Commonwealth Games so I have local knowledge of some the more colourful characters and history of the Gold Coast. A bit of local gossip and the inside know, can enhance the enjoyment of any ride. So come ride with me I look forward to hearing from you soon, if not, might see out on the road. Cheers Sean

I'm a former competitive triathlete and cyclist. I now ride my bike for the social and mental benefits. I love nothing more than riding with wonderful humans and showing them new roads!

A Melbourne resident since 2016, Satoko enjoys exploring country roads and hills in Victoria on her bike, like she used to do in her home country Japan. Having experienced "great cycling moments" in Japan Satoko is passionate about sharing those moments with her fellow riders. Although she enjoys the challenges of grueling hills and sense of achievement that follows, she is equally enthusiastic about good coffee, quality food and post ride comfort including hot spring and beer.

Based in Tokyo and Derek loves the big city but also enjoys getting out into the Japan countryside during weekends. Once an avid runner, and he still jogs for fun and fitness, however cycling is Derek's real passion since childhood. He loves the sense of freedom and adventure it brings. Brought up in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Derek came over to Japan after graduating from university and the country still does not disappoint even after 10 years living here. Loves the local food, Japanese seasons, hot springs, nature, a decent coffee, beer, nice roads and picturesque photo spots.

I am an international student from Indonesia currently doing my PhD in urban planning at one of the local universities in Brisbane. Prior to coming to Brisbane, I rode motorcycles in Indonesia. I have been a cyclist for a little over a year now. I started out on a hand-me-down road bike and now I also ride MTBs. I would like to host rides in Brisbane because of the great cycling facilities (i.e. extensive bikeways and numerous MTB trails) and weather. Queensland is indeed the sunshine state!

United States

I will update this in the near future.

South Korea is an emerging cycling mecca for all the right reasons:  Amazing infrastructure, tremendous food, rich culture and warm-hearted locals.  This is your chance to experience South Korea before the tourist boom hits on a stunning 8 day adventure from Seoul through valleys with breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, farmlands and many many beautiful weirs, bridges and parks to arrive in the  beautiful coastal city of Busan.

North-West Tasmania is widely regarded as one of the prettiest places to ride your bike. Hannah, a former semi-professional cyclist from the region and her partner Roey (former professional cyclist, now professional cake connoisseur ) will show you the best of the region. This weekend escape is supported by the CycleHosts team and follow vehicle.

People and Places

In 2018 we regularly visited the Victorian Spa Country. To provide an insight into the fantastic gravel, road and mountain bike riding in the region, here’s a ride for you to enjoy.
